Upset bellies are a common part of childhood, and while they can be frustrating for both you and your little one, they usually turn out to be okay and no need to lose sleep over. From occasional constipation to a gurgling tummy, there are many reasons why your child might experience tummy discomfort.

There are a few things that can contribute to tummy troubles in kids, like a change in diet, new bugs, or even just a bit too much excitement! Most of the time, these upsets will clear up on their own within a day or two.

But if your child's tummy troubles seem to be lingering, or they're experiencing more frequent discomfort, there are some things you can do to help soothe their little tummies and keep them feeling their best.

Here are some tips to help make a happy tummy:

Hydration is key: Make sure your child is drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day. Water is always the best option, but diluted fruit juice or an electrolyte drink can also be helpful.

Fibre power: Fibre-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can help keep things moving smoothly in your child's digestive system.

Warm comfort: A warm compress or gentle tummy rub can help soothe.

Probiotics for a happy gut: Here at Red Seal, we know how important a healthy gut is for your child's overall wellbeing, which is why we developed Red Seal Kids Digest Melties.

Red Seal Kids Digest Melties are a delicious, melt-on-your-tongue probiotic supplement formulated specifically for kids. They're packed with good-for-you bacteria that can help support a healthy gut microbiome, which is essential for good bacteria balance, tummy comfort, and nutrient absorption.
