Where to Buy

Do your teas contain caffeine?

Most of our brews are actually caffeine free! The exceptions are Mi Chai and our Green teas. Just check the front of pack as we state 'caffeine free' where applicable.

Do your tea bags contain plastic?

No, our Red Seal Herbal, and Hot Or Cold tea bags do not contain plastic. Our teabag filter paper is based on natural fibres that are biodegradable and compostable and our 100% cotton string is compostable, but at this stage the paper tag is not. We have recently removed the plastic wrap on our Herbal and Green tea ranges also! You'll now find them in a box with a handy 'zip' and resealable open/close.

Are Red Seal teas gluten free?

Only our Hot or Cold Brew range are gluten free. Our green teas and herbal range have no gluten containing ingredients.

What is the Rainforest Alliance Certification of Herbal Teas about?

At Red Seal we believe you can make products that taste great, and are kind to the planet. That's why we've partnered with the Rainforest Alliance, a worldwide programme making responsible business the new normal. Rainforest Alliance works to protect forests, improve the livelihoods of farmers and forest communities, promote their human rights, and help them mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis.

Our herbal blends range from a minium of 50% to fully RFA certified. We think this is a good start, but are working towards making our blends even more sustainable in the future.

What does it mean when your teas are 50% Rainforest Alliance certified?

When our tea is labeled as "50% Rainforest Alliance Certified," it means that half of the ingredients are sourced from farms that adhere to the Rainforest Alliance's sustainability standards and are certified by them. While other products like cocoa or coffee require at least 90% certified content, herbal teas have a lower threshold due to the limited availability of some certified ingredients. As such we clearly label the certified percentage on each box, and as supply increases, we aim to certify increasing amounts of our tea blends in partnership with the Rainforest Alliance.

Are your teas vegetarian or vegan?

All Red Seal teas are made with only plant-based ingredients, so they’re suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.
